Cherry Picking Picnic Party

This summery celebration has been put together by Konfetti Love for Marissa's 6 year old daughter's birthday! This day out allowed for Marissa's family to soak up the sun in a beautiful picnic party setting.

Having collected a little Gingham Set from Meri Meri, this was the founding inspiration for their little picnic party. The gorgeous peach Gingham pattern with a happy shade of neon in the shape of a scallop edge, really provided a fun, girly twist to the traditional picnic print. And after stumbling upon a cherry trinket tray from Typo, the whole idea of the Cherry Picking Picnic Party came together, her daughter was thrilled with the idea.

The stunning colour palette of different hues of peach, and hints of red as an accent colour, translated beautifully with this summery picnic. The use of the gingham patter was very important to be incorporated, as it aided to emulate the wholesome picnic feeling.

The girls were able to 'pick' some beautifully designed paper cherries that were apart of a scavenger hunt. Each cherry had a prize and it allowed for a couple of hours of entertainment!

Handcrafted cherry macaroons, cherry biscuits and a stunning birthday cake helped bring the cherry picking picnic to life! The gingham print of the birthday cake tied in with the Meri Meri napkins. The girls were given picnic boxes big enough to fit their cherry picking picnic prizes, and each received a gorgeous little cherry themed drink bottle.

This OIP approved party is definitely the cherry on top!
