Day of the Dead Party

One Social Design has put together this party located at Rives Mansion, that has been influenced by the Mexican holiday The Day of the Dead. This holiday is important to Mexicans as it is a day where they honour the lives of loved ones who have passed away.

The Day of the Dead theme has been achieved through the use of dark and vivid colours, that aid in contrasting between the different tones. The decorating has obtained a luxurious feeling to it through the brass accents. This not only adds dimension and height to the styling but also incorporates a different texture, the reflective surface adds variation and interest to the piece.

Creative Amme has produced the signage above the fire place as well as the stir sticks to add a customised touch to the design. Whilst the dark linen that has tied everything together is by Stephanie's Linen. The beautiful array of flowers that dances along the table and have also been incorporated into the balloon garland by Gaby's Balloon Decor, has been created by Victoria's Garden.

Amriel's Cakes has baked the spooky skull shaped cookies, whilst the surreal skull cakes have been made by Butter Love and Hard work.

A spooky but very beautiful design, through the creative styling and colour palette. Who knew a party like this could look so sophisticated and chic!
