Hot Chocolate Bar

Ingredients

3 cups full fat milk

1.5 cups thickened cream

150g dark chocolate, chopped finely

2 tablespoons cocoa powder

2 tablespoons caster sugar

½ salt

Toppings: marshmallows (of course), shaved chocolate, crushed Oreos, crushed peppermint crisp, Tim Tams, whipped cream, chilli powder (be adventurous), sea salt – the possibilities are endless!

Method

  1. Combine cocoa powder, sugar and chocolate with ½ cup water in a saucepan over medium-high heat. Whisk frequently until chocolate is melted and mixture is smooth and creamy.
  2. Add milk and cream to chocolate mixture. Just bring to the boil before removing from heat. Stir in the salt.
  3. Divide among cute hot chocolate mugs.
  4. Go crazy at the toppings bar!
