Very excited to share part 2 of our Luxe For Less Series. This beautiful table was styled by our Creative Director (Sydney) Astrid of PaperPlayground. Astrid styled the table two ways using the same supplies, and today we are sharing the first set up. TREATS FOR SANTA:
When Sammy of OIP approached me with the $75 Luxe For Less Christmas challenge, I looked for a theme that worked with the things I already had most of, so I could stay within budget (a mean feat for me!) It turned out the Geo Theme was best as I already had the Meri Meri hexagon plates, wooden hexagon boxes, cake stands and some decorations bought for Christmas, such as the Ikea Christmas geo tree ornaments, only $4.99 for three that was adorned with fresh flowers to make it look extra special (with thanks to Garden Rose who was more than happy to help me out with these); the wire words ‘Merry & Bright’ I made from a DIY box set and wooden Christmas trees, both from Riot Art & Craft. I also had all the cake stands and peg board already so this also helps.

The theme of the table is ‘Treats For Santa’. You know, the table of milk and cookies you leave for Santa and his reindeers when they make the pressie stop to your place? Well, the table just got an upgrade ?? (Lucky Santa dude).

With the treats, we mixed chocolate donuts from Woolworths with boutique chocolates from Nectar & Stone; made the panna cotta with mango nectar topped with strawberries while ordering a small batch of geo-shaped cookies from Pretty Pedestals; and of course, the milk is there for Santa and some Reindeer Treats in geo-shaped paper boxes =) (reindeer treats are made of oats, glitter and hundreds and thousands).

The paperie was the main focus as this made the table- from the Christmas crackers, to the mini bunting, the food labels, chocolate wrappers and straw flags- I relied heavily on the look of this to make it look luxe for less. The colour palette was mint, peach, grey, and blush, contracted with bright yellow and pink.

Overall it was a definite treat for the kids as they had their favourite desserts on the table, and sticking to the budget at the end means you can definitely replicate this look for less! Even better, this bespoke paperie I’ve made is free to download so you can also have your own ‘Treats For Santa’ table.
Merry Christmas everyone!
