With Christmas only a Jingle away, frantic gift shopping is now being replaced with prep for the all important Christmas Day feast. If you’re anything like me, creating a unique table setting has become a bit of a tradition and makes everything feel just a little bit more magic.

So whether your set to host family or friends this Christmas, OIP wanted to offer you two convenient table settings with items you can pick up with your last minute gift and grocery shopping.

Grey, Blush & Gold Table

I’m currently obsessed with blush pink, and thought it’d be perfectly matched with the seasonally gold tones. Paired with grey linen and Babies Breath to create texture, this setting looks and feels a lot more expensive than it actually was. Here is a break down of the elements:

Gold Charger Plates from Kmart – $2 each
Pink Plates from Ikea – $1.99 each
Gold Star Plate from Big W – $4 each
Gold paint pen from Officeworks (for place card glassware) – $2 each
Grey Linen Look Napkins from Kmart – $4 pack of 4
‘Napkin Holder’ Typo Letter Ornament – $3 each
Brass Candle Holder from Kmart – $6 each
Pink Pillar Candles – Kmart $3
Grey tapered candles pack of 4 – Kmart $2
Babies Breath – $10

Total for 8 people + $134
*excluding cost of glass and gold cutlery

Red Kids Table

On the funner side is our Red Table. With elements for children to fidget with and an edible name card, it’s sure to keep little hands busy as parents prepare to serve them food. Here is a break down of the elements:

Red Charger Plate from Kmart – $2 each
Plain White Plates from Op Shop – $2 each
Red Plastic Cutlery from Fast Eddies – $2 pack of 50
Honeycomb Balls – $4 for pack of 5
Reindeer Ears from Coles – $4 each
Milk Glass Bottles from Kmart – $5 pack of 6
Mini Christmas Tree from Fast Eddies – $3 each
Pinecone foraged from Albert Park Lake

Cost for 6 = $73
*excluding kraft paper, folded stars and fruit
